The Thai Orthopaedic Association (TOA)

The History of the Orthopedic Association of Thailand (OAAT) The Orthopedic Club was first established on October 11, 1966, when Professor Dr. Fueng Satsonguan and Dr. Prasert Nutakul conceived the idea of forming a group of orthopedic doctors (the name at that time). They received support from Dr. Kong Suwannarat, Dr. Fueng Satsonguan, Dr. Lek Na Nakorn, and Mr. Samak Pukkanaesen. As the club's activities grew, membership and various initiatives in academics, administration, finance, and international affairs increased significantly. The club's executive committee, chaired by Dr. Kong Suwannarat, carefully considered the necessity and appropriateness of changing the club's status to an association. On May 6, 1976, permission was granted to establish it as an association named the "Orthopedic Association of Thailand."
